Community Education Programs: This department is utilized to increase knowledge and awareness about HIV/AIDS among the community by providing many innovative interventions and counseling. They provide a number of programs and services for thousands of individuals throughout the Alabama city by making campaigns in various venues including local colleges, universities, nonprofit organizations, emergency shelters and more. They also run two other programs called Beauty in Knowing that targets the African-American women and Many Men Many Voices which provides group-level intervention to prevent AIDS and sexually transmitted infections.

Direct Housing: Direct Housing programs serve the eligible individuals with two types of services which are Transitional/Temporary and Permanent housing.

Transitional Housing programs provide supportive services and temporary shelters for the HIV-positive individuals and families who do not have any place to stay or are at risk of becoming homeless. The programs’ immediate mission is to ensure the individuals get stabled and back on their feet, by helping in increasing their skills.

People who moved out from the transitional shelter but still need support in their way of getting stabled, Permanent Housing program targets them and offer a supportive living environment until they are financially able to live in their own houses.

The goal of permanent Housing program is not to let the individuals stay permanently in supported houses but to empower the individuals and assist in increasing their skills as wells as income so that they can move to their own houses.
