The organization was utilized to assist eligible individuals by providing funding for utilities, rent and medicine. Services include Electric Bill Payment Assistance, Gas Bill Payment Assistance, Power Line Extension Payment Assistance, Medical Care Volunteer Opportunities and Rental Deposit Assistance. Only those individuals can apply whose needs are genuine and cannot be met elsewhere.

Services

Electric Bill Payment Assistance: This program stands for people whose electricity has been shut off or is at risk. They pay all or a part of the service expenses incurred by the electric service providers. The program also provide other services through few non-emergency agencies like Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), also referred as LIEAP or HEAP in some areas, which provide assistance for the low-income families with home energy supplies usually in form of cash or credit. Having some eligibility requirements the offer may be available only once a year.

Gas Bill Payment Assistance: This program provides all or a part of the gas service expenses for the individuals who may have their gas facilities shut off or at risk. They have other programs funded through LIHEAP that offers home energy assistance for the individuals who are not capable of paying all the service expenses. The offer is available once a year, usually in every heating season. Gas Bill Payment Assistance also has income, disability, age or other eligibility requirements.

Power Line Extension Payment Assistance: Program that assists in extending existing power lines to meet the requirements of residential, commercial or industrial customers in areas that are not currently being supplied. They provide the fees charged by local electric utility in full or a portion of actual amount.

Rental Deposit Assistance: Individuals who are in process of acquiring any rental housing can get a cash grant or loan if they are able to manage the monthly rental payments. People who do not have enough asset to handle the first month or, in some circumstances, the last month payment along with the security deposit may not be eligible for getting the offer.

Medical Care Volunteer Opportunities: Program that has licensed physicians who are willing to provide the poor and needy people with proper treatment and medications without demanding any remuneration. They also have some emergency medicine and medical equipment stored which can be used anytime by the physicians if needed.
