Tipton Cares shares thrift shop revenues for those needing help with rent and utilities

Tipton Cares, Inc. is a wonderful charity with two locations. The Tipton Cares, Inc. Thrift Store is located in Brighton, TN, at 7615 Hwy 51 S., near Kenwood Avenue.

Tipton Cares, Inc. mission statement says, “Our mission is to provide a safety net to families and individuals, who are experiencing a temporary crisis. We strive to meet these needs by offering both physical and spiritual assistance. We are ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’”.

In order to truly help its neighbors, Tipton Cares, Inc. operates the thrift shop located in Brighton. The thrift shop helps Tipton Cares, Inc. to offer several services to neighbors, individuals, and families and need within the Brighton and Covington area.

The thrift store is open to the public. The thrift store operates on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The thrift shop provides Tipton Cares, Inc. with funding and supplies to give back to the community. Tipton Cares, Inc. provides emergency food boxes for low-income families suffering from a temporary crisis. Also available to those in need are used clothing, provided from the Tipton Cares, Inc. Thrift Shop. The thrift shop also provides the opportunity for volunteerism and community service.

Past community projects by Tipton Cares, Inc. includes the distribution of Thanksgiving food boxes for families suffering during the holiday. Several groups, a homeschool group, the Boy Scouts, and a fire station, aided Tipton Cares, Inc. in packaging and distributing the food boxes. During Christmas, Tipton Cares, Inc. coordinated a toy drive. The toys that were collected from the thrift shop and from the community went to the deserving children of families who were temporarily suffering from a crisis or who were low income. Tipton Cares, Inc. has substantially brightened the holiday season every year for families in need in Brighton and Covington.
