Tenants in Wenatchee Valley have several rental assistance options for support

Wenatchee Valley is served by multiple rental assistance programs to tenants in either Douglas or Chelan County.

When hardship hits, hit back by participating in one of the many rental assistance programs that you may have access to. Otherwise you could face the consequences that come with eviction. Here are some of the programs that serve Wenatchee Valley:

  • Serve Wenatchee Valley. This faith-based organization provides support and cash to assist with living costs. Rental assistance may be combined with water and electricity payments to help you meet your monthly obligations. Call 509-663-4673 or visit their South Mission Street office in Wenatchee.
  • Chelan County Veterans’ Program. Your service to our great country is appreciated, and this organization is here to serve your (and your dependents’) continued needs as you grow older. Cash may be provided to cover rent, utilities and groceries depending on your situation. Call 509-665-3702 to see if you are eligible for cash assistance or for short-term housing.
  • Housing Authority of Chelan County & the City of Wenatchee (CCWHA). Several rental assistance programs are available for low income families, including self-sufficiency, Section 8, agricultural workers, migrant workers, Seniors, disabled and homeownership programs. Call 509-663-7421.
  • Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council. This community action agency provides tenant-based rental assistance (TBRA), transitional housing, case management and affordable housing communities in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. Their Emergency Crisis Intervention Program can assist with emergency housing needs and intervene in utility disconnections. Call 509-662-6156 to schedule an appointment.
  • United Community Action Network. Rental assistance funds are occasionally available, but electricity and fuel bills are frequently aided through available resources. Call 541-492-3535 for help.

These programs serve the people of Douglas and Chelan Counties by helping lower income households remain self-sufficient. Cash grants are frequent options as opposed to low or zero-interest loans.

Eligibility requirements vary by program. Most require that your household be classified as either low income or low-to-moderate income. Check with each agency since requirements can and do change based on funding and other variables.
