CATCH up with 6 months rent payments in Boise and Nampa

Ada and Canyon County residents who have struggled to avoid homelessness have an awesome opportunity to get their rent paid without taking on loans. CATCH Inc. is expanding their rental assistance program to help more struggling families.

Charitable Assistance to Community’s Homeless (CATCH) Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was established in 2010 from a homelessness prevention program originally created in 2006. The program serves lower income households in Ada County and Canyon County.

Nampa and Boise Rent Assistance

If you have struggled to pay rent and have had to deal with eviction, you may have a much better solution to your housing woes. CATCH, Inc. can assist with direct rent payments for up to 6 months. With Treasure Valley rents approaching $750 a month, this can be a huge blessing.

You are not alone in your struggles. CATCH will provide you with a case manager who will work with your family to help you regain stability. They will consider your family size, income and employment needs to help you find a suitable rental home. Best of all, the agency can make your rent payments for you for up to half the year!

Eligibility

In order to be selected into the program, you must be referred by one of the emergency housing shelters operating in Ada or Canyon Counties. Only current residents of the shelters will be considered, and you must not have alternative housing options available. This is to ensure that only those who most need the help can receive the assistance.

If you have been forced out of your home and need help, contact one of the following organizations in order to get emergency housing and an application for the CATCH program:

CATCH is not designed to pay back rent payments in an unsustainable situation. Instead, funding is reserved for those who have already lost their home and have no place to turn.

A case manager will work with you to help you evaluate your long-term needs. During your counseling and education process, you may live at one of the emergency housing shelters in either Ada or Canyon County.

You may be encouraged to attend workshops while you are receiving assistance from a CATCH case manager. Their goal is to enhance your own personal development so that you can permanently enjoy the satisfaction of self-sufficient living.
